Stop Your Blackberry From Hanging.

Blackberry phones are a very popular brand of mobile phones with the blackberry messenger (bbm) making it very interesting, smart and fun, helping you build your own community, thus socializing, do business and other great values for bbm users. The fun of every smartphone not just the blackberry is the speed, the ease of operation, numerous apps making every process easy and simply fun.but in the situation when it begins to hang, gets slow while operating. Here are reasons why blackberry smartphones hang and how u can solve it.
Too Much Apps: The numerous apps built around blackberry and other smartphones keep it going as they make work easier and centered around socializing people mindless of race, culture or placing, so many blackberry users abuse these apps and download lots of app on their device which in turn reduces the speed of the blackberry device..For example if you visit appworld for blackberry you will be amazed at the blackberry applications at your disposal which are almost always free for downloads making blackberry users always downloading both the neccessary and unnecessary. So therefore to keep your blackberry speed normal without hanging simply reduce the number of blackberry applications you download.

Micro SD: The nature of your blackberry memory card can slow your device and reduce the operation speed. Nature here implies to the the memory card capacity, so while purchasing memory card (micro sd) for your smartphone always check if your device can go with it,. Your Download Rate: The rate at which you download from the internet to your smartphones matters. Though the main issue is not always the rate at which you download but where you download from. Many blackberry users always download anything irrespective of where it's being downloaded from. Some of the items you download from the internet are open to virus and some websites are always carrier for virus, so if you are not using antivirus for blackberry please be careful of where you download from.

ASUU Strike UPDATE :- President Jonathan Approves N400bn Lifeline, SSANU President Reveals

The end to the present strike bythe Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may be in sight as President Goodluck Jonathan has approved N400 billion for the infrastructural development of Nigerian universities. The document to this effect is expected to be made available today at the meeting of the presidential committee on implementation of the NEEDS assessment in the universities withthe leaders of the four university-based unions – the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).The President of SSANU, Samson Ugwoke, made the revelation while addressing his union members at the SSANU National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the weekend at the University of Abuja.Ugwoke, briefing the SSANU members on the activities of the NEEDS assesment implementation committee, led by Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam. He noted that the fund was different from the N100 billion Governor Suswam had raised from donor agenciesand big companies to tackle theproblems of Nigerian universities in 2013.The labour leader said: “Let me give you a tip on what the NEEDS assessment committee is doing. The president has approved that within the next four years; N400 billion would be expended in infrastructural development of Nigerian universities, to transform the universities to international standard.“N100 billion has already been raised by Suswam committee out of which 61 universities have been pencilled down, as contained in the NEEDS assessement committee. The N100 billion is expected to address needs of the universities in the areaswhich include re-furbishing and renovation of lecture theatres and lecture halls, re-furbishing and renovation of laboratories/libraries and the renovation of hostels.“The second category is building of new hostels of international standard, self-contained rooms, the latestmodel in the world. That is the standard to be built in every university, and also the state-of-the-art laboratories as well as classrooms, lecture theatres and the halls.”Ugwoke pointed out that the money had been shared and out of the N100 billion, N96 billion had been sent to universities. He added: “The committee is meeting again on Monday, and by Monday (today), the document will be out. This time around, it is not only by giving university money, but it willbe monitored to ensure that the money is used to transform the universities, to bail universities out of the present situation and developed to an international recognized university standard.”

Earlier this week, during her concert in
New Jersey, very pretty singer and mum of
2, Toni Braxton gave her fans more than
they bargained for when she hit the stage.
Whilst belting out her famous tunes, the
skirt of the 45-year-old's skimpy metallic
dress just fell down, only to expose her
bare derriere!!
Unfortunately, Toni who didn't even realize
her bum was exposed, turned her back to
her fans and was shaking her now bare
bum, as the crowd bursted into laughter
and cheers.
Watch as Toni just kept singing though ,
until a guy on stage handed her his suit
jacket to cover up.
Luckily, she was wearing a nude bodysuit.

Confessions of a repentant terrorist:How Ibb, Buhari, Atiku Others Sponsor Boko Haram!

While terrorism and wanton acts of
destruction go on unabated in Nigeria,
another can of worms has been opened
regarding the identities of the real sponsors
of the deadly Boko Haram group.
Sheikh Haliru, a founding member of the
dreaded jama’aful Ahlul sunna wal
Liddawati wal Jihad also referred to as the
Boko Haram sect who has since found a
new faith made startling revelations
recently when he named some well placed
Nigerians as the financial backbone of the
sect.
Sani Haliru who was born to a Nigerien
father and a Nigerian mother grew up in
Wulari, in Borno State where his mother
hails from. Like most boys, he became an
Almajiri at the age of ten and was trained
for four years. At 14, he was sent to Kano
where he studied at Sheikh Abubakar Gumi
School of Arabic Studies. Apart from being
studying at the feet of the popular Sheikh
Gumi, Haliru prided himself as a mentee of
the late Al Quaeda leader, Osama bin
Laden.
Incidentally, as revealed by Haliru, his new
faith is in Jesus Christ who he hated and
persecuted for 44 years. Before he became
a born-again Christian, Haliru saw fire and
blood as a jihadist. Narrating his past
experience, he said “I took part in the
Kaduna riot of 1992 and in several northern
states of Nigeria, but the state I operated
more from was Borno, where I was the
State Commander/Chief Strategist.
In the early months of May 1986, I was
among the 36 Jihadist hardliners, who went
on a rampage to attack Christian students
of the University of Sokoto. In that same
week, the Federal Government of Nigeria
under the leadership of General Babangida
mobilized us and provided some military
vans and Army uniforms which our men
used and started killing innocent and
defenceless Christians all over the Northern
states. I and the son of the Emir of Kano,
who is now a Christian by name Rev. Paul
Ado Bayero, were among the Muslim
fanatics who pulled down the sculpture of
Jesus at the University of Ibadan .
The following year, March 5, 1987 to be
very precise, the “Evil Genius” General
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida secretly
armed us through one of his close aides by
the name of Captain Hassan Abubakar (now
a Pastor with a fast growing church in
Lagos). We went to go and kill some
targeted Christians including Rev. Nuhu
Kure (Throne room founder) after the
destruction we committed at the College of
Education in Kafanchan, Kaduna State And
of recent, I was the leader of the team of
soldiers of Allah that destroyed Church
buildings and properties in Bornu State”
The former jihadist claimed to have been to
eight different countries namely Sudan,
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya,
Somalia, Egypt and Niger Republic. And
when he was asked if he received any
training in those places, he disclosed that
he was trained as an Attack Strategist in
Libya and Pakistan alongside Nigerians and
non-Nigerians alike. One of the proofs of
the training as he disclosed was a mark
which he carries with him till date. The
mark is in form of a sword held in a hand.
That is regarded by those who went through
the training as the “license to kill for Allah”.
When Sani Haliru was asked about the
identities of the fellow Nigerians who were
his course mates in Libya and Pakistan, he
said “they are scattered all over the country
and we were not too many then”. He
however gave a few names, those he
mentioned included Ali Baba Nur, Asari
Dokubo, Jasper Akinbo, Mohammed Yusuf,
Salisu Maigari, Danlami Abubakar, Cletus
Okar, Ali Qaqa, Maigari Haliru and Asabe
Dantala. He spoke further that Asari Dokubo
of the Niger Delta People’s Volunteer Force
was a year ahead of him in the Libyan
training camp in Benghazi.
But who financed the training in Libya,
Haliru was asked. From his response, it was
obvious that the person was obviously a
highly placed Nigerian as he said “you will
not believe me and only God will judge the
Chief sponsor of terrorism in Nigeria whose
name I will not mention because he is so
powerful and even the president of Nigeria,
Goodluck Jonathan, is so much afraid of the
man”.
And to prove that he harbours no fear
about unveiling his sponsor, the erstwhile
extremist dropped the bombshell. He said
“the man is no other person than the man
they call IBB. As I am talking to you now,
General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida has
more than 600 men and women Jihadists on
his payroll. They are scattered all over the
Country and he can use them to destroy
Nigeria”. He disclosed that the former
military President still has his agents in the
Nigeria Army, the Police, the Air Force and
in strategic economic positions.
He alleged that Babangida’s loyalists can
still be found in top political positions, in
the National Assembly, in both the print
and electronic arms of the media and even
in Aso Rock, Nigeria’s seat of power.”
While describing General Babangida’s
influence, the repented Boko Haram
pointman revealed that he attempted to
divulge some of the information at his
disposal to the State Security Service, he
however said it was the unimaginable that
happened. “I was arrested and detained for
two days because IBB’S men are so many in
SSS as well. After I was released by the
grace of God, they (the Police) warned me
never to blow up the polity or provoke
violence and I should keep my so-called-
born-again with me or else I will go to jail”,
Haliru said.”
He also gave indications that IBB might not
be alone in financing terror in the country
as he alleged that he has the names of six
traditional rulers and seven present and
former Governors as well as several top
military and security officers who are co-
sponsoring the Boko Haram sect. Speaking
further, he said “I have documented
evidences to prove that General
Mohammadu Buhari, Alhaji Abubaka Atiku
and other top politicians and traditional
rulers are some of the people behind Boko
Haram”.
When Haliru was asked if it meant that
General Babangida, the Muslim traditional
rulers and Governors that he accused of
sponsoring Boko Haram to kill Christians
and burn churches in the North are not
aware of the passage in the Qur’an that
says there must not be compulsion in Islam
as Mohammadu Buhari asserted in a widely
publicized interview on Saturday, the 21st
of April, 2011, Haliru’s reply went on to
reveal more. “: I have worked so closely
with Mohammadu Buahri for five years, and
I can prove it that General Buhari is the
most notable outspoken jihadist hardliner
in Nigeria who is also strategically
sponsoring Boko Haram”, he said. He said
with Buhari;s statement, it was evident that
the former Head of State was being
hypocritical. He based his submission on
Surah Al-Baqarah Chapter 2:195, it is
written here that you must use your wealth
to champion Jihad of all kinds or else
destruction is waiting for such a person on
the last day.
“And spend in the Cause of Allah (i.e. Jihad
of all kinds) and do not throw yourselves
into destruction (by not spending your
wealth in the Cause of Allah), and do good.
Truly, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-
doers).”
Haliru also indicted Governor Isa Yuguda of
Bauchi State as an ally of the Boko Haram
sect. Narrating his experience when he was
arrested and detained years ago, Haliru
said “ soon after my immediate boss
Mohammed Yusuf was killed in 2009, about
23 of us were arrested in one of our
hideouts in Bauchi. But when Governor Isa
Yagiuda heard about it, he immediately
arranged for me to be free. Even before his
official broadcast in 2010 that he was using
his position as the executive Governor of
Bauchi State to free 28 prisoners from Bauchi Central Prison, I was already a free man along with several of my colleagues”.

Kenyan Lawyer Sues Israel For Killing Jesus

A Kenyan lawyer, Dola Indidis, is suing the
State of Israel, the Republic of Italy for the
trial and crucifixion of Jesus Christ which
the lawyer claims was unlawful.
Dola Indidis, a Roman Catholic, is
petitioning the International Court of
Justice, to nullify Jesus’ conviction and
death sentence by Pontius Pilate.
Indidas is accusing Pilate, who was the
Roman governor of Judea, of “judicial
misconduct, abuse of office, bias and
prejudice.”
For Indidis, it’s all about human rights,
and he feels as though Jesus suffered
greatly.
In particular, the lawyer is challenging the
modes of questioning used in Jesus’ trial
more than 2,000 years ago.
“Jesus came here on Earth as a human
being,” Indidis told Kenyan Citizen News.
“Now when he died, he was not given an
opportunity to be heard. No one speaks
for him.”
Indidis first brought his case before the
Kenyan High Court in Nairobi in 2007, but
the court refused to hear it, saying it
lacked jurisdiction.
Now he is turning to the International
Court of Justice, often referred to as the
World Court, which is best known for
ruling on territorial disputes between
members of the United Nations.
Indidis’ petition has surprised Christian
leaders in Kenya.
But Indidis seems undeterred and points
to the example of Joan of Arc, the 15th-
century saint who led the French to major
victories against the English before she
was captured and burned at the stake. A
quarter-century after Joan’s death her
conviction was overturned by a papal
court, and in 1920 she was canonized.

ASUU strike: NANS exco splits, disowns president

ABUJA—Executive members of the
National Association of Nigerian Students,
NANS, have disowned the national
president, Mr. Yinka Gbadebo, on his
support for the Federal Government in
the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff
Union of Universities, ASUU.
Some members of the executive told
newsmen, yesterday, that students were
largely unbiased in the crisis and the
inclination of Mr. Gbadebo to support
the government was a deviation from the
students’ collective goal of resolving the
crisis.
The executive members who included
national assistant secretary general, Ali
Mohammed , the national sports
director, Talib Abubakar Gumel, director
of travels and exchange, Olusegun
Oyebisi, said there was no consultation
on the issues before Gbadebo declared
NANS support for the Federal
Government.
The students also dissociated NANS as a
body from the ongoing face off between
officials of the Federal Government and
the Rivers State government saying that
their president did not have any right to
speak on the issue.
“The national president did not have our
mandate to support the federal
government over the strike as we are a
neutral body. We do not support either
the federal government or ASUU because
it is the students that bear the brunt of
the strike,” Ali who spoke on behalf of his
colleagues said yesterday.
“We call on ASUU and the Federal
Government to resolve the issue within
seven days so that the students can
return to their campuses.”
“We do not understand why the national
president should support the federal
government or what concerns students
with what is happening between the
Rivers State governor and the President.
The matter is between the two of them it
doesn't concern the students.”

Asserting the fact

I dreamt that Senator Ahmed Yerima was elected the President of Nigeria. He settled into Aso Rock and introduced a thirteen-year old, Fatima, as his wife and First Lady of Nigeria. That instantly posed a problem for the media which did not know whether Nigeria had a First Child or First Lady.Opinion was divided, but Ray Ekpu ofNewswatch stepped in and decided that the media should hold a nationalconference and take a common position on how to address the President’s teen wife so as not to embarrass the President. The Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka maintained that to be grammatically correct, we should notaddress a child as a lady and asserted with authority that a “lady” is a term used to address “mature women” not “children.” He argued that she should remain a “First Child until further notice.”“But the People’s Democratic Party maintained that the problem was notgrammatical but political. To which famous lawyer, Chief Femi Falana pointed out that the “child” in question was not of voting age and as such should not impose a political burden on the country. He maintained that the nation should assume that the President had no legal wife or in the alternative ask him to produce another wife worthy of being addressed as a First Lady and who was of voting age.“We were still trying to solve the matter when we heard that some civil right groups had taken the matter to the court to annul the marriage and let the child go back to school. We told them to hold on that the child was still in school and will actually be a part time First Child or First Lady and part time student. The case was dropped. We would have rested the matter there but, guess what? Along came Prof. Dora Akunyili (I mean Prof DoraAkunyili again!) and said she had it on good authority that Her Excellency was still bed-wetting. She said it would do great damage to her re-branding exercise and wondered “how you could rebrand a country when the First Lady was busy wettingbeds abroad.”“The Federal Ministry of Health responded promptly that it had developed drugs which could take care of bed wetting, but if the drugs were not okay, then the First Lady could use catheter in the night and not wet beds in presidential guest houses abroad.Everyone was relieved but guess what? The Central Bank came charging that such money would not be charged to any budgetary item and would amount to an extra-budgetaryexpenditure and fraud. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission agreed and said the National Assembly should approve a “Bed-wetting allowance” for the president, before any fund was drawn. They noted that if the man were to travel as much as President Olusegun Obasanjo did, thenit would add to the national inflation and would be difficult to justify basedon existing financial regulations.“Well the debate was still raging when we heard that President Barrack Obama was coming to Nigeria on a state visit and would be accompanied by his wife, Michele. Civil liberties organizations swung into action and tried to persuade the American Embassy to postpone the trip until the “First Lady” issue was resolved. But the Embassy said the visit was part of a tour of strategic African states and Nigeria was amongst the most important in Africa.“Obama actually came and was met on the tarmac by President Yerima with his wife, Fatima, in tow. Obama thought Her Excellency, Mrs Fatima Yeriama, was the garland girl and bent down to have her hang a garland on his neck. Her Excellency on the other hand thought differentlyin the innocence of her childlike heart, and thought he was bending down to admire her dress. She giggled and said, “Isn’t this a very wonderful dress? It is the same color with my undies.”“Michele laughed heartily and picked up Her Excellency in her hands, stroking her head. I nearly fainted! She turned to President Yerima and said, ‘This should be your beautiful daughter, where is her mother -your wife?’ To which President Yerima looked at her stunned, not knowing what to say. The American ambassador to Nigeria stepped in and saved the situation, ‘Mrs. Obama, that is the President’s wife that you are carrying in your hands. You may wish to put her down beside her husband so that the reception will continue.’“The Nigerian First Lady who had been struggling to get out of Michele’s hands, looked up indignantly at the American First Lady, said, ‘I will not be your friend again. Only my husband carries me up and you dared to carry me up.’President Obama stroked his tie thoughtfully and said, “Let us not have a diplomatic row over this, I forgot to tell Michele that in Africa you catch them young. It is entirely my fault. My apologies to the First Couple. And now Mr President can we proceed to other reception formalities?” Soon the airport reception was over and the two First Ladies had to while away time while the Presidents discussed matters of state. Mrs Yerima insisted on showing Mrs Obama her toys and her grades in school. The other women stood idly by as one baby doll after the other was shown to MrsObama. “My husband bought this toyfor me from SoudiArabia, she can even sing, let me play it for you.” MrsObama nodded.“Her Excellency Fatima hit the buttonand the doll began to sing, “God damn America the great Satan, downwith the infidels and down with the west…”Mrs. Obama cringed but the child paid her no heed. She bounded over to the television and turned it on. Then she moved the dial to Cartoon Network and turned to Mrs Obama, “Do you watch Tom and Jerry?”But by this time Mrs Obama had had enough, she fainted and had to be flown back to America.

Dj khaled proposes to Nicki Minaj

It might just be one massive diamond
ring shaped publicity stunt but just two
days after DJ Khaled’s bizarre proposal –
Nicki Minaj is wearing a huge rock on her
engagement finger.
The curvy singer hasn’t responded to the
request for marriage which was
awkwardly aired on MTV but these
pictures might tell a different story.
The ring appears to be the exact same $
500,000 diamond rock which DJ Khaled
unveiled in his heartfelt proposal. Nicki
wore yellow jeans and a neon pink hat
with her name blazened across the front
as she was pictured leaving Crustation
Restaurant in Beverly Hills.
The pair aren’t even dating, though Minaj
currently is single and is probably
dwelling on a decision. US superstar
Khaled was talking with MTV when he
pulled out the giant diamond ring and
proposed to
Minaj.
He said: “Nicki Minaj, I’m at MTV, I’m
going to be honest with you; I love you… I
like you, I want you, I want you to be
mine. Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?
“If you gotta take your time and think
about it, I understand, but I know I have to
be here today to let you know how
serious I am and how serious this is to
me.”
He unveils a 10 karat diamond
ring from Rafaello & Co., believed to be worth in the region of a massive $500,000, from
MTV sources.
There’s no word yet whether or not he
asked his mate Drake for permission to
wed his ex-lover. Minaj featured in the
remix of Khaled’s biggest song All I Do Is Win.

BIZARRE: The Church Where People Worship Nakéd

Whitetail Chapel in Ivor, Virginia about 61 miles from Richmond, Virginia is a church where members worship in the nude. The pastor and congregation have taken the statement “Come as you are” very literal.

Allen Parker, the pastor of Whitetail Chapel said, “Jesus was naked during some of his most important moments. When he was born he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked. If God made us that way, how can that be wrong?” Pastor Parker further stated that the church is family-oriented and the members are very involved in helping others. The pastor said: “I consider this a gift and a privilege God has given me. They’re caring, they’re understanding, and they’re community and family oriented. We have one of the most involved chapels anyplace around. I’ll put our church up against others around.”Richard Foley, a congregant said, “I really don’t think God cares what you wear when you worship.”Sabrina, a member of Whitetail says, ”I have been a member of this church and it is just the same as a “normal church.” I have sat in this chapel and the services are moving. You will not be turned away even if you go with clothes on. Whitetail Chapel is made up of regular people.”A male member of the church said, “As for God, God would rather you be in church naked, piously worshiping and being a spiritual person with good morals than being out sinning and spreading hate with your clothes on.”The Whitetail Chapel is part of the Whitetail Nudist Resort, the only year-round nudist resort in Virginia. Ithas been in existence since 1984 and is reported to be increasing. More than 10,000 people visit each year and the percentage goes up each year.

WHO IS TO BLAME, WHEN NO ONE WANTS BLAME?

After reading Xoel Cardenas article on thiago alcantara’s exit, the pressure it places on Rosell sandro and Tito vilanova’s regime, even on the club, and the apparent need for a midfielder, I felt itchy to get into the action and ask who is really to be blamed, when no one wants to get blamed.

Do Rosell Sandro and Tito Villanova
have question marks over their heads
on thiago’s exit?

  Definitely, Villanova being the worst
culprit here, this past season was
really awful for the coach, despite
clinching la liga in record time,
equaling Mourinho’s record points, but his lack of faith on the youngsters
on the team, his constant fielding his first team against even weak
opposition, stymied Barcelona chances of winning the champions league, as fatigue set in, in most of the games Barcelona were a goal or goals down, our coach casting a figure of onecompletely mystified, was truly pathetic,
he looked like one without an answer to teams that played great counter
attacking football and always exposed the backline, he was always staring into absentia, probably praying Messi and Co. could produce yet another comebacks, in a season where Barcelona had to struggle, which was funny,
because at the start of pre season, he was
being hailed as the tactical
mastermind behind Barcelona record
setting seasons under pep, how come he
has failed now that he is in charge, to
show off this tactical ingenuity,
or even play youths, which was the
hallmark of Guardiola’s regime, he
always failed to come with a proper plan,
knowing how counter attacking
sides |A.C Milan, Bayern F.C, Real
Madrid| exposed our defensive woes,
especially the defensive defiencies of our
fullbacks, or even a backup plan
when we were on the back foot.
Tito is a club favorite, but the bravest
we have seen our coach was
facing the knife, do we set sentiments
aside and see our coach for who he
is, someone who lacks the tactical nous,
never has a backup plan, even
lacking the flair, the charisma which
made pep world best coach at one
point.
Should Rosell be re-elected as club
president despite the whole thiago
fiasco or even his falling out with pep,
definitely not, He is at present,
the president of the club, while pep and
thiago now part of our past,
Rosell will always first be a business man,
and that has really helped the
club, as his spending policies have helped
Barcelona out of debt, which may
not necessarily augur well with the club’s
fans, and now he has shown he is
one with the times, with the signing of
Neymar, which we all have to agree
is a great move, on both sides which he
represents, the business and the
football, solving half of Barcelona’s past
season woes, the over dependency
on Messi for all the club goals, now the
other halve of the problem is yet
to be met as the board is yet to sign an
“elite defender”, who can blame
him when tito’s definition of an elite
defender is ‘Thiago Silva’, no one
else, does it really make it easy for the
board to sign, signing the best
defender in the world from one of the
richest clubs in the world.
Agreed, Rosell does have questions to
answer in regards to thiago’s
transfer to Bayern Munich, therefore
strengthening the team that really
raised questions over Barcelona’s
designation as the best club side of the
century. How much of this can be faulted
to the club president, how much of
this blame needs to be apportioned to
vilanova’s unwillingness to play the
youngster in a season where he would
really have thrived.

THE SERGI ROBERTO SITUATION?
Xavi is on the decline , that’s no
longer news, and does it helps
that his proposed successor now plays for
our arch-rivals |Bayern Munich ,
formerly Chelsea f.c|, thiago simply
makes them stronger and us, weaker.
We always have Fabregas, don’t we, but
this past season has shown tito’s
unwillingness to play youth prospects,
imagine Fabregas gets injured a week
before a semi final champions league
against Real Madrid, a team we hardly
beat this past season, would sergi Roberto
really be the man to man our
midfield?
Sergi Roberto is a great talent, but it
would do the team a great deal of
good to loan him to a la liga team that
offers him first team football, and
he gets to prune his skills, rather than he
being the next young player to
warm the bench, as we learnt from bartra
last season, you cant really count
on a young player who hardly plays for
the team to make a stand out
performance when needed, and sergi
Roberto situation doesn’t help as he has
only featured just four times in his 4
years in camp nou.
Sergi Roberto on loan, leaves the midfield
with a player short, and thus
needs reinforcements, ilkay gundogan
would be an upgrade, but his
willingness to leave or Dortmund
willingness to sell is yet to be seen,
Mathieu Valbuena , would also be a much
better backup plan to Roberto.

THE BOTTOM LINE?
- Barcelona needs an elite defender, and
there are really few of them
out there, marquinhos from Roma or
mangala from Porto, both depends on
how much barca is willing to pay for
their services, David luiz is most
times erratic, but would define the buy
of the season, a player able to
cover two fronts as a defender and as a
midfielder, it would actually be
killing two birds with one stone. Rosell,

Dangote Is Africa's First $20 Billion Man, Now 25th World Richest!

Nigerian billionaire and Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has become the first African entrepreneur to lay claim to a $20 billion fortune as the stock value of his largest holding, Dangote Cement, leaped just about three-fourths since March when Forbes released its annual ranking of the world’s richest peopleAliko Dangote’s 93% stake in the cement company is now worth $19.5 billion.Add this to his controlling stakes in other publicly-listed companies like Dangote Sugar and National Salt Company of Nigeria and his significant shareholdings in other blue-chips like Zenith Bank, UBA Group and Dangote Flour; his extensive real estate portfolio, jets, yachts and current cash position, which includes more than $300 million in recently awarded Dangote Cement dividends, Dangote is now worth more than $20 billion.Put into context, the Nigerian billionaire is now among the top 25 richest people in the world, richer than Russia’s richest man, Alisher Usmanov, richer than India’s Lakshmi Mittal and running neck andneck with India’s Mukesh Ambani. Heis catching up to such Americans as Google’s billionaire founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The unprecedented surge in DangoteCement’s share price is largely a market response to the company’s impressive 2013 Q1 results. The cement manufacturer’s unaudited results for the three months ending March 31 showed that the company’s pre-tax profit rose to $339 million, representing an 80.6% increase from last year and a strong indicator of the company’s future earning potential. The results also indicate a 79.5 % rise in its earnings per share over the corresponding period last year.Explaining the company’s share priceboost in an email to Forbes, Carl Franklin, Dangote Cement’s Head of Investor Relations in the U.K said that in the first quarter of 2013, the company had a huge increase in demand across Nigeria, gas supply improved considerably and the capacity was much more ramped up.“So Q1 was the first sign of just how profitable we can be in Nigeria. The amazing thing is that 66% of our gas-fired production in Q1 was done at 84% gas. Imagine what would happen to margins if we did the same amount at 95%. This has given investors a good sense of what we can really do when everything goes in the right direction,” Franklin said. With a current market cap of $20.5 billion, Dangote Cement becomes the first Nigerian company to achievea market capitalization of over $20 billion.“It’s certainly a landmark for a Nigerian company and we’re proud to be the first to achieve it. Obviouslywe are focusing on building long-term and sustainable value for shareholders through our investments in Nigeria and Africa. Nigeria is a very entrepreneurial country and I can assure you that other companies will follow us in achieving this.”Other companies might eventually achieve this, but it’s going to take a bit of time. Dangote Cement currently accounts for more than a quarter of the total market capitalization of the Nigerian Stock Exchange. The second largest company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) is currently Nigerian Breweries, West Africa’s largest manufacturer of Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The company has a market cap of $8.5 billion.Dangote debuted on the FORBES billionaires list in 2008 with a fortune we pegged at $3.3 billion. His fortunedropped to $2.5 billion in 2009 and plunged further to $2.1 billion in 2010. His fortune surged  557% in 2011 to $13.8 billion after he took Dangote Cement public. He dropped to $11.2 billion in last year’s rankings, but rebounded at $16.1 billion this year. Since March, his fortune has jumped another 30%.Dangote was destined to shine in business. At age 8, he apparently gave packets of sweets he had made to the house servants to sell for him. His father Mohammed Dangote was a successful businessman and an associate of his maternal uncle AlhajiSanusi Dantata. Dantata and his brother controlled the trade in kola nuts and livestock conducted by 200 agents. Dangote started building his fortune over three decades ago after taking a loan from Sanusi Dantata. He started trading in commodities like flour, sugar and cement. He became a billionaire by later manufacturing these items. He started making pasta, salt, sugar and flour in 1997. But he found his gold mine in cement, when he was awarded a government’s state owned cement business in 2000 and began building his own plant in 2003.He listed Dangote Cement in 2010.Today, it is Africa’s largest cement company providing cement to Nigeria and other African countries that otherwise would likely have to pay to import much of the materials.Dangote still likely has bigger ambitions. He told Forbes Wealth Editor Luisa Kroll at Davos in 2011 that he expected his firm to have a market cap of $60 billion within five years. At $20.5 billion, Dangote Cement still has a long way to go to live up to that dream, and while it is quite unlikely that Dangote Cement could hit a $60 billion Market Cap by 2016, don’t write it off as ‘impossible’.With Dangote, you never know.

Child not bride: the issues.

I recently read an article, where the minister of foreign affairs revealed that the federal government was under pressure from the international community to sign into law the "Gay rights bill".
Were they under pressure when they passed, approved and amended the constitution in regards to underaged marriage. And i ask why aren't they under pressure to stop or checkmate the high rates of crime, insecurity, corruption, unemployment and electricity problem to mention but a few. I have heard comments from Nigerians hiding under the guise of religion, encouraging this new law saying rather than have young girls being raped, disvirgined, work as sex hawkers, having babies out of wedlock and taken for trafficking, its better they are given out in marriage, and i ask do you tackle a problem with more problems?. These girls need education, protection and giving them out in marriage says contrary, as in defeats the purpose. I wonder what women in political offices are doing to stop this. Before they were appointed as ministers, commissioners, women leaders and all, they made promises to fight for women rights( girls included), is it to be said they have failed in the discharge of their duties with the enactment of such laws.
Soon as they are appointed they forget their promises, the reasons they were elected , and pursue their selfish ambitions. With the current diseases and illnesses arising from underage marriage, early sex and pregnancy among young girls like VVF and all, we are still imposing this wicked laws on our children.   Most of whom are given out without their consents by parents who are blinded by greed and the quest for material wealth. I dare say if we can wait for calves to grow up to cows, kids to goat and chicks to hen before we eat them, why cant we do same to girls.

It is time Nigerians rise up to the challenge and say no to underage marriage, say no to child bride and save our future from devils cloaked in the garments of religions.

Malaria and Africa

Science has improved into a complex reasoning.   Everyday,we hear of endless applications emanating from this submerging entity called "science",ranging from research,cosmology,psychology,pharmacy,bio-chemistry,genetic engineering etc. But yet, this evolving culture has failed to heal our crippling age  from the plagues that scourge it. Diseases are more rampant with the advancement in science.African populations are the most affected from these dreadful diseases, although the winds of change are slowly drifting to Africa, yet it is constantly been repelled by civil wars, corruption, and ignorance, thus making the outbreak and insurgence of diseases in this black continent, constant and rather too rampant. Although there is the availability of the structures and equipments to facilitate in the study, discovery and eventual elimination of these diseases, yet, the cure still eludes us.Common amongst these diseases is malaria, from mosquito bites. Malaria has evolved as many times as man has,and is the biggest killer in Africa,it has evolved into a more resilient strain of disease. It has being a serious killer in the ancient world and is now a more deadly killer in this present age, responsible for the death of millions in Africa alone.
Although Man has grown in complexities, his reasoning embroidened, his abilities limitless. Though we developed ways to travel to space in order to explore and study -the moon and the planets, in order to debridge the gap of extra-terrestrial mysticism. We have designed cars, airplanes, trains,cloning-experiments,jets,nuclear stations etc,we have developed things that a hundred years back would seem a complete impossibility, but still we have failed to find a solution to this disease that has plagued us right from the very start. Although science has led to the discovery of vaccines capable of curbing the effects of this disease, which is a positive sign, that in the not too distant future, a vaccine for the complete annihilation of this disease may be discovered. But yet this glimpse of hope is restricted from Africa, where the vector of this disease breeds in the millions.Although programs which have led to the destruction of adult mosquitoes and their breeding sites in many European countries and North America and Chile etc are available, the amount of resources and money invested into them are enormous, which raises a question,if African countries can be able to afford them, when high rates of financial dissolutions and constant civil wars are the order of the day. YES, i think African countries can stake such programs, but the total annihilation of mosquitoes and malaria in Africa is still very much a distant prospect.

Asuu strike called off

Congratulations to all university students, just about an hour ago the ASUU chairman broke the announcement, which was considered a big one for all university students. After calling off the strike, the media went ahead to ask if the federal government has met the demands of ASUU. Out of dismay, the ASUU chairman shook his head and said he was disappointed with the media more than he his with the FG, saying the media formed a deaf ear to the strike, that the average Nigerian does not know that universities were on strike. He condemned the media's lack of publicity. After expressing his anger he went ahead to say that "the Government is doing nothing concerning our demands", even after a closed door meeting with the education minister where the President said he has so many issues to deal with now than to start spending more money on universities. After the meeting however, the chairman of the newly formed party APC called the chairman of ASUU to a meeting with ACN,CPC, and the APGA governors who promised ASUU that they would give ear to ASUU's demand and will do more- one of which was every student been given a bursaryaward which is to cover 50% of every student's fees, that is, for spending 5 years in the universities. 2 years fee would be paid by the FG,and for any student who graduates with a first class would stand a chance to do their masters in canada, while those with lower credit and pass would continue their studies in South Africa and Ghana respectively. Also, the salaries of VC's would be increased by 90%. After this meeting, the ASUU chairman called off the strike asking all students to resume their various schools on the first week of June 2015, that's about 2 years, of course after voting in APC. Its so sad that you sat down and read all this poo, that means you are as jobless as I am. Men, go find work. This strike would last more than we thought.
